Why Choose International Auto Repair Over the Dealership?

Here are 3 main reasons.

1. There is NO extra overhead. Dealerships employ dozens of employees and maintain several buildings. We have a small team with only 9 employees and a smaller facility to maintain. Everyone's salary is reasonable and fair for their position and jobs.

2. We tell our customers exact what repairs are absolutely needed without selling work that isn't necessary. If your car has multiple problems, we will rank the repairs in order of safety importance to help your budget. We don't sell work that isn't needed.

3. We work on all makes and models: we aren't limited to one or two brands of cars. Our Maintenance Programs comply with all dealer and Extended Warranty Programs and will keep your warranty in force. We keep a record of your service history and will give you a copy at no charge.

Will You Install Auto Parts That I Buy Myself?

The answer is NO for the following reasons:

1.        You Could Be Wrong and Parts You Bring May Not Fix Your Problem.

We invest a lot of money into diagnostic equipment and training our technicians.  Looking on the Internet or asking a friend may not solve your problem.  When you hear sounds coming from some unknown location or when your check engine light comes on, it’s best to let an experienced mechanic make the diagnosis.  Their diagnosis will be more accurate and they will know which parts need replacing.

2.       It’s a Hassle If You Brought the Wrong Part.

It’s not unusual to get the wrong parts from an auto parts store, even if you’re an auto repair shop.  The part could have been labeled incorrectly or the auto parts store mixed up your order.  It gets even more complicated when a particular model of car had a design change in the middle of a model year.  You will need to know this information to order correct parts.  It’s very frustrating having to return parts and wait for correct ones to arrive.  As an individual customer, you will not get the customer service that an auto repair shop will get, so it will take longer to get it fixed.

3.       The Shop Could Be Legally Liable for Failed Parts

If we install a customer supplied part that part fails and causes an accident, the shop could be held legally liable.  A court would very probably rule against the auto repair shop saying that the shop should not install parts whose performance it couldn’t guarantee.  Many independent shop owners have their life savings invested in their businesses.  When you ask a shop to install auto parts you bought, you are asking the shop owner to assume the risk of losing his business and his livelihood so that you could save a few dollars.  It’s unfair to blame the shop for not wanting to take that risk.

Why Does My Car Smell Musty When I Use the A/C ?

There are several reasons for a Musty Smell, but the most common one would be that the Cabin Air Filter has gotten damp.  There could be leaves and other debris that has gotten moldy.  The best way to solve your smell problem would be to replace the Cabin Air Filter and clean out the Air Conditioning and Heater Box. Then the A/C System and the interior of the car should be disinfected.  We recommend the Terraclean MiST service which sanitizes the interior surfaces as well as inside the AC ducts that are behind the dashboard.  MiSt uses food-grade sanitizers delivered ultrasonically as a clean fog of nano-droplets throughout the car’s entire ventilation system and interior cabin surfaces.

Why Is Water on the Passenger Side Floor Every Time I Use the AC in My Car?

Most likely your problem is a Clogged A/C Drain. The drain gets clogged with debris and the water can’t drain. Usually, it’s a very simple fix. Just clear the drain with some compressed air and watch the water drain out.
